Melissa can't contain her excitement and pure joy. I must agree. Good times.
Anyway, after attempting to lowball a few people with their $500 firm listings and getting absolutely nowhere, I decided to check out ebay.
I was keeping an eye on an XBOX 360 CORE system with under an hour to go. With about 15 minutes left in the auction, the action began. About 4 bidders were taking turns out bidding each other. I also had my eye on another auction, from the same seller, for the PREMIUM package. With about 5 minutes left to go in the auction, MMac and I were discussing the best plan of attack. We decided to place a bid with about 20 seconds left in the auction.
For some strange reason the CORE system was getting more bidding action than the PREMIUM system. So, still within my max bid range, I waited and watched. 20 seconds comes up, and I jump in with an extra $5 (US) bid from the current auction price - rendering whatever attempt, if any, close to impossible.
In the end the CORE system went for $2 (US) less than the PREMIUM system. Suckers!
Now, I'll just await the postman.
I'd like to thank a few people that allowed for this purchase to happen:
MMac & Jacqui. Turns out it was a good thing you didn't get to EB Games for the gift certificate!
Samantha & Clayton ... for putting up with the playful banter (well, mostly playful!) while the deal was getting set in motion.
..and of course, Melissa - Thanks very much for not making me wait until the system is obsolete (like originally planned!). Thanks Goose!

Ohhh...good times in the credit with that!! I am sure Mel is "overcome" with "joy" that you purchased a 360!
Poor Mel, You've now lost your husband to the virtual world of Xbox 360 Live too!! I'm still up for kicking the two 'boys' out and setting up house (which of course they still have to pay for :) ). LOL!
