We've been pretty busy and a tad bit lazy, so finally an update. I just read Kay's 'time for an update' comment, so I guess it's time!I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. They're over now so suck it up.
REMINDER: We're off on a cruise in 2 weeks!
In the meantime we've come to accept the fact that someone needed to look after Beckham. After doing a lot of research and listening to friends, we think we found a 'puppy hotel' that fit. Our first choice was HOLLY'S PRIDE, Rio's favorite escape, but due to location we found an alternative.
PETOPIA
Located nowhere near us, Petopia sounded like a good fit. Melissa checked it out after reading some reviews online.
In order to leave your fur baby or fur kid, as they call them, you have to do an over night trial. Today was that day.
We arrived at Petopia this morning at 9am and Beckham was immediately (and I mean IMMEDIATELY!) ushered in. I'm assuming this was to get him settled and to avoid any ridiculous long good-bye's. We handed over all his gear and that was it.
The drop off process happened so quickly, before we knew it we were in the car and driving home. I wasn't even at the first stop sign when I noticed Melissa trying to keep her act together while she dabbed what LA called separation anxiety tears. As ridiculous as it may sound, it's our first night away from Beckham since we got him.
Melissa was fine a few minutes later but admittedly it's different at home without him here. We miss him.
In the meantime we're suppose to be able to have access to webcams located around the Petopia facility but apparently they're down right now ... so that sucks.
Hopefully my next post will be raving about what a good time he had there and how he can't wait to go back!

ahhhh..the first time i dropped Rio off at the kennel, Darrin thought I was nuts...we were headed off to a sunny destination and I was in tears...lol..Mel, I know what you going through... They'll take great care of him. Rio gets soo excited when I mention the hotel..she takes her bone and starts her laps lol.. She's going to see all her friends! The hotel you chose looks amazing:):)Bmac will looove it!
We wish we could take him for ya while you are on your cruise but with the new biz and the store we'll be gone long hours..:(:(

At last an update, I feel your pain for leaving BMAC,I never left Snuggles any where, needless to say I dont go any where.lol.

That is so funny about Rio doing laps when you mention going to the "HOTEL"...
Dwayne referred to Petopia as "THE SPA" on the way there to Beckham, and it was hilarious....He's like:"Hey B, are you going to the SPA today to meet all your friends?" ....LMAO!!!!
Only 12 more days till he goes back to "THE SPA" :)
Was Beckham exhausted when he came home? Rio sleeps for days and comes home missing her voice...lol..
I forgot tell you guys...last week our friend Glen, Rocky's daddy...brought Rocky (he's the BT puppy i emailed you a pic of a few months back)in to the store and Kay got to meet him too...Rocky looks just like Beckham (only a little bigger) and apparently has some "gas" issues too...lol. He was adorable. We have to set up a play date with Beckham and Rocky sometime..that would toooo cute:)

Yes Beckham was very very sleepy when he came home. He basically slept for 2 days, and is just now getting back to normal. I don't know what he's going to be like after spending 9 days at Petopia when we go on our trip....My boy will probably sleep for a week..LOL!
On another note, about Rocky's gas problem, well just FYI for the owners that you might want to pass along. You and Darrin know how BAAAAD Beckham's gas was right? Well we put Beckham on a allergy formula food that only contains 2 ingredients which is Venison and Brown Rice, and since doing this, Beckham has not had any gas whatsoever, and to be honest it's like he's a different puppy.

LA - a teaspoon of PLAIN FAT FREE YOGURT did wonders with his previous food if they can't switch foods.
